We electronically verify each transaction with the credit company, processing only those orders if the credit company so authorizes it. In the case of a suspicious or declined transaction, our company may contact you to confirm the validity and ensure your identity, or cancel that order with full notification.
We work to protect the security of your information during transmission by using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software, which encrypts information you input at 128-bit strength. On most web browsers, a secure connection is symbolized by a small padlock in the address bar, and the address of the window changing from https:// to https://. In the event that an order cannot be completed, please contact our Customer Service. What is a Build.com SMS?
Build.com provides SMS service to send order information. Order status, shipping status, and delivered status. SMS will be sent if a subscriber has a mobile phone number. Standard message and data rates may apply. Message frequency will vary by user.
A user may also opt in to receive a one time message with a link to specific product details, shopping cart items, or mobile applications. MMS service is used to send messages of product photos to and from the user.
What is the cost of Build.com SMS?
There is no additional charge for Build.com SMS services. However, normal package deductions and text message and data rates may apply. Please check with your carrier for details on your plan.
What carriers are compatible with Build.com SMS?
Compatible carriers include: AT&T, T-Mobile*, Metro PCS, Verizon Wireless, Sprint, Nextel, Boost, Alltel, US Cellular and Cellular One. *T-Mobile is not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Are there any additional charges associated with this service?
Standard message and data rates apply to all text messages. Message rates differ from carrier to carrier. Please contact your wireless service provider to inquire about the details specific to your plan.
Is Build.com SMS service available to international users?
Currently, this service is only available to domestic service plans within the United States.

This Privacy/Security Policy applies to the Build.com apps; however, anything you upload to our apps can and will be viewed by our team members, and by uploading material, you are providing us the right to use that material as we see fit.
The Build.com app is meant to be shared with Build.com team members as well as others with whom you choose to share access. Build.com cannot be responsible for personal information, including credit card information, which a user posts to the Build Mobile apps.
We receive and store any information you enter on our app or give us in any other way. We use the information that you provide for such purposes as: responding to your requests, customizing future shopping suggestions, improving our store,fulfilling your order, and sending promotional materials. When posting or sharing do not post or share content containing your full name(s) or other confidential identifiable information of yourself or others. With regard to sharing personal information, doing so is at your own risk. Build.com is not responsible for damage or harm resulting from your choice to share personal information. Anything you upload to our app site, excluding payment information, can and will be viewed by our team members.

Build.com app users are automatically opted into notifications by default. Users may opt out of notifications at any time in the app settings.
What are cookies?

Browser Push Notifications
New visitors to the Build.com site will receive a pop-up prompt asking if they would like to allow or block notifications. If notifications are allowed, the user has opted in to promotional notifications. If the user blocks notifications, they are opted out. If the pop-up prompt is closed out within a response, the user will receive the prompt at the start of each subsequent session.
